Try a FAQ attack

A FAQ (rhymes with
"back") or Frequently Asked Questions list is a
compilation of the most common questions asked about a particular
topic. There are thousands of FAQs available on almost any topic
you can think of, but were interested in a tech support
type FAQ. Heres a site with an index of USENET FAQs and a way
to search them.
Example: Solve the Windows95
"can't save password" problem using a FAQ.
- Use a search engine to search for your
vendor or product and the word FAQ.
- Once in the FAQ, use the "search on
this page" function of your browser to find a
keyword relating to your problem. Hint: on both Netscape
Navigator 3.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0,
its Ctrl-F.
Example: Use a vendor's FAQ to find out
why system hangs after installing Symantec pcAnywhere32. Go to
the Symantec site,
find tech support, then find the FAQ for pcAnywhere. See if the
FAQ addresses this problem.
