Try a FAQ attack

A FAQ (rhymes with "back") or Frequently Asked Questions list is a compilation of the most common questions asked about a particular topic. There are thousands of FAQs available on almost any topic you can think of, but we’re interested in a tech support type FAQ. Here’s a site with an index of USENET FAQs and a way to search them.

Example: Solve the Windows95 "can't save password" problem using a FAQ.

Example: Use a vendor's FAQ to find out why system hangs after installing Symantec pcAnywhere32. Go to the Symantec site, find tech support, then find the FAQ for pcAnywhere. See if the FAQ addresses this problem.
